Here is a list of things NBA legend and two-time champion Bill Laimbeer ate from May 31 until June 5, as provided by Grub Street, a division of NY Mag:

- Two Newcastles (“my beer of choice”).
- Leftover beef tenderloin.
- Turkey and Swiss cheese sandwich.
- Venison burgers, from a deer that Laimbeer and his wife personally hunted.
- Asparagus.
- Pasta salad.
- Deviled eggs.
- Rice Chex cereal.
- Leftover chicken wrap.
- Lentil soup.
- Roast beef Panini with swiss cheese and artichokes.

- Braised chicken.
- Half of a chicken wrap.
- Octopus salad.
- Fish stew (Laimbeer: “the portions were massive.”)
- Sangria.
- Omelet with Swiss cheese, sausage, and spinach.
- Plain bagel with cream cheese.
- Octopus appetizer (Laimbeer: “I really like octopus.”)
- Lamb shank.
- “Some red wine out of a carafe, I have no idea what wine it was.”
Laimbeer is currently the head coach and general manager of the WNBA’s New York Liberty. He is running this franchise after a successful career spent coaching the three-time champion Detroit Shock, which was followed up by an assistant coach’s turn with the Minnesota Timberwolves.
He also has great taste in food, income enough to explore those tastes, and a self-sufficient turn as a hunter/gatherer. He is also 6-11, featuring a frame that requires quite a bit of calories to keep up with his demanding schedule.
We encourage you to read the entire Grub Street piece.
