Wolves waive Milicic, advance pursuit of Batum (Yahoo! Sports)

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- The Minnesota Timberwolves have waived center Darko Milicic and submitted a formal offer sheet in an attempt to sign Portland forward Nicolas Batum.
