Jeremy Pargo shows us just how far the Wizards’ defense has come this summer (VIDEO)

Welp. Going to need some work, Shelvin Mack, LaRon Dendy and Jan Vesely.

Can't let Jeremy Pargo — he of the robust 4.4 Player Efficiency Rating during his rookie season with the Memphis Grizzlies — shake you out of your shoes, split you like uprights, and then sling a no-look dish around you for an and-one dunk by someone named Mitchell Watt, who isn't even the top search result for his name among athletes. Going to need to run some more shell drills with your Washington Wizards squad, probably, coach Sam Cassell. Or, at the very least, some of your patented "put him in the fifth row with the popcorn man" D.

That said: Big ups, Jeremy Pargo. This was still a very cool move, irrespective of the defense, and since we're probably not going to see this sort of thing from you again this season (because what happens in Las Vegas Summer League tends to stay in Las Vegas Summer League) we salute you now.

The slick dime was one of Pargo's seven assists to two turnovers in just under 30 minutes of work on Tuesday, which helps offset the fact that he missed 10 of his 15 shots, including six of his seven 3-point tries. Cementing the pure Summer Leaguery of it all, this also came in a game that saw Josh Selby — famed third-place-vote-getter in last year's Rookie of the Year balloting, despite making 25 shots on the season, total — score 35 points.

It's also a game the Wizards actually won, 83-77, because both Chris Singleton (13 points, 10 rebounds, three steals) and Shavlik Randolph (16 points, 15 rebounds) posted double-doubles for the Wiz. Duh.

Summer League!
