C-a-C Past Lives: Tim Duncan’s invisible weightlifting game is sharp

Gotta get back in time ... Welcome back, friends, to Create-a-Caption Past Lives. Unfamiliar with the concept? Fear not, fellow traveler: This is just a little "diggin' in the crates" project we started during last summer's lockout so we could keep having C-a-C fun when the present-day photo well runs a bit dry. We won't do it every day this offseason, but from time to time, we'll revisit our friends from the past — some of whom, like today's pick, are still with us.

Yes, yes, Tim Duncan. You are very strong, especially in 2002, when you are averaging 23.3 points, 12.9 rebounds, 3.9 assists and 2.9 blocks per game at age 26. We get it. Referee Mike Callahan gets it. Opponents definitely get it. Now would you, for one time in your grandstanding life, just quit bragging about it? I swear, pride'll be the death of you, Tim.

Best caption wins just the cutest "pretend weights for kids" set I've ever seen. Good luck.

In our last adventure: Clowns to the left of him, jokers to the right — here's Udonis Haslem, stuck to a trophy with glue.

Winner, Mr. Jones: After a long, difficult finals, Udonis Haslem reacts after finally getting to touch a basketball.

Runner-up, Dago: Haslem: whispers "Larry, be honest with me ..."

Trophy: "Yes, UD?"

Haslem: "Do I look better without my dreads?"

Trophy: "Uh ..."

Second runner-up, Eric F.: "And they told me I couldn't turn the NBA championship trophy into a bong ..."
