Doc Rivers (‘an emotional person’) discusses Pat Summitt’s retirement (VIDEO)

We're not ardent fans of Women's NCAA basketball, so we couldn't give the retiring Pat Summitt the sort of mindful tribute that Yahoo! Sports' Dan Wetzel put together on Wednesday. The 59-year old University of Tennessee coach, who is suffering from early onset Alzheimer's Disease, stepped down on Wednesday after nearly 1100 NCAA wins, and eight NCAA championships; and far, far earlier than she should have to.

We do know that when Doc Rivers -- who was voted as the NBA coach players would most like to play for on the same day Summitt stepped down -- gives pause? Then you listen. And following Wednesday's tough Boston win over Orlando, the C's coach emotionally spoke of Summit's influence on himself, and the game:
