Dirk Nowitzki is the 23rd NBA player to score 23,000 career points. The Dallas Mavericks star hit that mark with a free throw midway through the second quarter Friday night against Milwaukee. Nowitzki is in his 14th NBA season, all with the Mavericks. He was playing in his 1,005th career game, and recently made his 8,000th career field goal.
