Juwan Howard drains half-court, over-the-head trick shot just to prove he can (Video)

Sure, he hasn't suited up in an NBA game since the Miami Heat's final regular-season contest and, thanks to the retirement of Grant Hill, is now the NBA's oldest active player. But that doesn't mean 40-year-old Heat reserve Juwan Howard has lost his touch.

Look no further than the Heat's Wednesday practice before Game 7 of the 2013 NBA Finals against the San Antonio Spurs for proof that the old guy's still got it:

Guys, I think we might have just found out who the next member of the Uncle Drew-Wes team is.

Between Howard's advanced shotmaking and Norris Cole's sideline plyometrics, it's clear that Miami's reserves are staying ready just in case. With champion Spurs towel-waver Patty Mills done for the season after foot surgery, San Antonio might be at a deep-bench-readiness deficit heading into Game 7. Could this, finally, be Tracy McGrady's time to shine?

If nothing else, it's good to know that Howard's backward half-court shot game is strong. If he decides to hang 'em up after Game 7, he could embark on a second career as an NBA mascot. It seems like fun, fulfilling work, as long as Russell Westbrook isn't around.
