The LeBron James-David West double flop was ridiculous, hilarious and timely (Video)

Given all the pre-Game-4 discussion of flopping, its bottom-line benefits and its contribution to the decline of basketball civilization, the fourth-quarter moment in which LeBron James (6-foot-8, 260 pounds, the best basketball player in the world) and David West (6-foot-9, 250 pounds, one of the no-questions-asked toughest guys in the NBA) both instinctively engaged in some regional-theater-level fight choreography is almost too perfect. So on-the-nose, so of-the-moment, so totally ridiculous.

It's basically the peak of the form, highlighting the head-shaking absurdity of the present state of the practice. That it didn't result in a foul call either way — making it one of the few moments in Tuesday's game that didn't strike the officials as warranting a whistle — is even funnier. Not as funny as watching the delicate dance on an endless GIF loop, but still, very funny. Great work, LeBron and David. Proud of you guys.
