Hornets general manager Dell Demps says guard Eric Gordon remains central to the Hornets' long-term plans, even though the prolific shooting guard turned down a four-year extension offer from the club. Wednesday night was the NBA deadline for players who are due to become restricted free agents this summer to reach early contract extensions with their current teams.
